Its port facilities, located in a privileged position at the Atlantic entrance of the Panama Canal, including transshipment services and a logistics park which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

MIT is a company of the US and Panamanian private equity affiliate of Carrix, Inc., whose main division is SSA Marine, the largest US marine terminal operator, dockers and railways.

Carrix is headquartered in Seattle, Washington, while the international division of SSA Marine (SSA International) is headquartered in Panama City, where it monitors and controls the operations of its maritime terminals in Chile, Mexico, Panama and the rest of the world.
