EspañolDuring the 2016 Duty Free Show of the Americas, Alberto “Pancho” Motta, President of the International Association of Duty Free Airports (IAADFS), gave a speech to those present. We share his words:
“On behalf of IAADFS and the association’s Board of Directors, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2016 Duty Free Show of the Americas.
The show kicked off yesterday with our traditional sports day program featuring golf, tennis, and an expanded 5K fun run/walk that benefits Escuela de la Calle, a charity helping children in Guatemala.
Last night’s Opening Reception gave attendees a chance to reconnect and start to make plans for the rest of the show. The Trademarket opens today, where almost 200 exhibitors are showing thousands of the latest products for the duty free and travel retail industry. More than 30 of these companies are rst- time exhibitors and are identi ed by “New Exhibitor” ribbons on their badges and “New Exhibitor” decals next to their booths. Please be sure to welcome them to the show.
